A Bit Different

Today I sat down to write a newsletter, as is always the case my brain bounced around in different directions fretting about all the other things that needed doing.

I went and looked up when we had last sent a newsletter, last October!! Well I knew it had been a while, but still.

2025 has been a challenging year. The losses have stemmed the flow of words and creativity, and just made everything hard. But there has been some good, some creativity. But how to share that.

Typically blogs are sequential, right? Posts are posted on a date, preferably soon after the thing happened. But we have all this stuff to share, but it’s from whenever. If I just post it all now the dates wont make sense, anyone coming along later and looking back will be confused. And as no-one has been subscribing surely no-one will notice if I backdate a bunch of stuff.

It’s a blog Jim but not as we know it!

So we’re just going to accept how our brains work and how life gets in the way, and we’ll write stuff and then publish it on a date that is relevant to the content, even if that was 6 months ago.

We both love to write, there are stories and poems stashed all over. This has resulted in product descriptions sometimes being unusual and rather lacking in the kind of keywords that makes them work. So we’re also going to start sharing more of the creative writing that happens, and we hope that you enjoy.

If you haven’t signed up yet and you’re curious about what’s in the newsletter, here you go …

Crikey, so our last post was a year ago! Should we be saying sorry or patting ourselves on the back that we have been not contributing to the overfilling of mailboxes?

2025 has been a challenging year for us, with losses that have stemmed the flow of words and creativity. There have been glimmers in the darkness, such as the feline addition of Summer and Smokey Joe to our family.

Chris’ art has been displayed in the Fox & Hounds in Uffington, he painted huge pieces for our friends at KFR, and at the school and he collaborated with a new friend with the art being displayed in that there London!

We have thought about how we can make our little business work in between work and family, while protecting our health, not risking too much financially, and making sure we have time to spend together. And we decided on a Teemill powered shop.

If you sign up for the newsletter on our new shop you will get 10% off your first order! And as you may have already figured out, we’re not about to fill up your inbox, but you will be the first to know about new designs and special offers!

If you’d like to know more about our artistic adventures then please check out our website where we waffle on at greater length!

Bigs Hugs,

The Arthe Crew
